課程概述 |
氣膠學
本課程主要使學生了解懸浮於空氣中之固體、液體微粒之物理特性(包括:大小分布、形狀、吸光、散光及荷電),運動特性(包括:直線、曲線運動、擴散凝聚、沉降)採樣與監測,及各種粒狀物控制之基本理論,本課程除可應用於空氣污染之基本理論外,尚可應用於無塵室之粒子控制。(半導體)視程研討,(氣象),噴霧乾燥(奶粉、瓷磚)乃至國防工業(彈道之修正)等。上課為課堂講演。

課程目標 |
1. Introduction to aerosols: health effects, concentrations, and size distributions.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 1.
2. Visibility: absorption vs. scattering of light, extinction coefficient, examples of measurements.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 5 and pp. 165-168.
3. Movement of particles in air: diffusion, friction coefficient, external force fields.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 2 and pp. 168-170.
4. Transport/ removal processes for particles: external force fields, efficiency of filters.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 3 and supplemental reading.
5. Transport/removal processes for particles: stop distance, impaction efficiencies
Reading: SDH, Chapter 4 and pp. 158-160, 171-174.
6. Coagulation of particles: effects of Brownian motion, shear flow, turbulence, and gravity.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 7.
7. Review of thermodynamic principles for condensation; Kelvin effect.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 9.
8. Secondary particle formation: homogeneous nucleation, heterogeneous condensation.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 10.
9. Processing/ alteration of airborne particles in urban environments.
Reading: SDH, Chapter 11.
10. Special topics.
